Terms and Conditions
§ 1 – General
(1)
These terms and conditions govern all sales between RODTNES ("us" or "we") and the buyer ("you"). By completing a purchase on our website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
(2)
We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time at our sole discretion. The version applicable to your order is the version in force at the time your order is placed.
§ 2 – Contract
(1)
Orders are placed exclusively through the RODTNES website. A binding contract is established between you and us when you confirm your order by clicking the "Pay Now" button at checkout.
(2)
The prices and conditions displayed at the time you place your order apply. Upon completing your purchase, you will receive an order confirmation and receipt by email. Please retain this for your records.
§ 3 – Color and material of products
(1)
While we have made every effort to display product colors accurately, the colors you see on screen will depend on your monitor settings and may differ from the actual product.
(2)
Our products are made from natural leather and minor variations in texture, grain, and tone are inherent to the material and are not considered defects — they are a natural characteristic of genuine leather.
§ 4 – Prices and payment
(1)
We accept the following payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Apple Pay, MobilePay, and PayPal.
(2)
The full amount for your order will be charged to your chosen payment method at the time of purchase. For pre-orders, payment will be processed within one week of the order being placed.
(3)
For deliveries within the EU, VAT, customs, and duties are included in the prices shown on our webshop. No additional charges will be applied upon receipt.
(4)
For deliveries outside the EU, import duties, VAT, and local sales taxes may apply in addition to the prices shown on our webshop. These charges are levied by local authorities and are payable by you upon receipt. Please note that these duties and taxes are non-refundable by RODTNES.
§ 5 – Gift vouchers
(1)
Gift vouchers are available for purchase by contacting us at info@rodtnesbags.com. Upon receipt of payment, we will send a physical gift card containing a unique discount code to the recipient address provided.
(2)
Dispatch of the physical gift card may take up to 5 business days from the date payment is received.
(3)
Gift vouchers may only be redeemed in our online store at rodtnesbags.com.
(4)
Gift vouchers are not personal and may be used by anyone in possession of the code.
(5)
No cash reimbursement is offered. A gift voucher must be redeemed in full at the time of use. If the value of the voucher exceeds the order total, the remaining balance will be noted and may be applied to a future order — please contact us at info@rodtnesbags.com to arrange this.
(6)
Gift vouchers are valid for 1 (one) year from the date of issue.
§ 6 – Delivery
The following delivery times are estimates for working days (Monday–Friday). Delivery times may be affected by public holidays, peak periods, or other circumstances outside our control.
Please note: If a parcel is not collected from the pickup point or delivery is refused, it will be returned to us. The cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
§ 7 – Your right of withdrawal and returns
(1) Right of withdrawal
In accordance with the Danish Consumer Contracts Act (Forbrugeraftaleloven) and the EU Consumer Rights Directive, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days, without giving any reason. The 14-day withdrawal period begins on the day you receive your order.

(2) Refund upon withdrawal
If you exercise your right of withdrawal, we will refund your purchase within 14 days of receiving the returned item. The refund will be made using the same payment method as your original purchase.
You are responsible for covering the cost of return shipping and for organising the return. We recommend using a tracked shipping service, as we cannot accept liability for items lost in transit on their way back to us.
(3) Condition of returned items
All returned items are inspected upon receipt. To qualify for a full refund, the following conditions must be met:
- The item must be returned in its original condition with all accompanying packaging materials (protective covers, foam inserts, stuffing, dust bag, and any other components included in the delivery)
- The item must show no signs of use
- The item must not have been stored under conditions that have altered its appearance, such as creases or marks on the leather
- The item must show no signs of damage caused by the return transport
- A completed return form must be included with the returned item
If an item is returned having been used or examined beyond what is necessary to assess its nature and characteristics, we reserve the right to deduct an amount reflecting the reduction in value from your refund.
(4) Christmas return period
For Christmas gifts, the return period is extended. All orders placed after 24 November may be returned until 7 January of the following year.
(5) Faulty or incorrect items
If the item you receive is faulty or does not match your order, please contact us at info@rodtnesbags.com and we will arrange a replacement or full refund. We do not accept returns showing damage caused by:
- Normal wear and tear
- Events outside our control (e.g. natural disasters)
- Improper use or extreme use
- Interference by the customer or a third party
§ 8 – Campaign codes and complimentary items
If your order includes a complimentary item received as part of a campaign code or promotional offer, that item is conditional on the qualifying purchase. Should you return the qualifying purchase, the complimentary item must be returned alongside it. Returns submitted without the complimentary item will have its value deducted from the refund.
§ 9 – Warranty and right of complaint
(1)
In accordance with the Danish Sale of Goods Act (Købeloven), you have a 2-year right of complaint from the date of receipt. This means you may report faults or defects that were present at the time of delivery for up to 2 years after purchase.
(2)
If a fault appears within the first 12 months after delivery, it is presumed to have been present at the time of delivery. If a fault appears after 12 months, you will be required to demonstrate that the fault was present at the time of delivery.
(3)
In the event of a covered defect, you are entitled to request repair, replacement, a price reduction, or — if repair or replacement is not possible — a full refund. All warranty claims must be submitted in writing to info@rodtnesbags.com.
(4)
Please note that abrasion or wear to metal hardware (including gold and silver plating) is not considered a manufacturing defect and is not covered by the warranty.
(5)
The right of complaint does not cover damage caused by normal wear and tear, misuse, or interference by the customer or a third party.
§ 10 – Security
All transactions on rodtnesbags.com are processed over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Payment data is handled securely by our payment providers and is never stored on our servers.
§ 11 – Copyrights
All trademarks, designs, photographs, texts, and other content on this website are the sole property of RODTNES and are protected by copyright. Reproduction, modification, or imitation of any content is strictly prohibited without our prior written consent.
§ 12 – Complaints and dispute resolution
If you have a complaint about a product or your shopping experience with us, please contact us at info@rodtnesbags.com. We will do our best to resolve any issues promptly and fairly.
If we are unable to reach a satisfactory resolution, you may submit a complaint to the Danish Centre for Complaint Resolution (Nævnenes Hus), Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg — www.naevneneshus.dk.
If you are resident in another EU country, you may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
§ 13 – Privacy and personal data
We process your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Please refer to our Privacy Policy on rodtnesbags.com for full details of how we collect, use, and protect your data.
Our company registration number (CVR) is available in the footer of our website and in your order confirmation email.
§ 14 – Governing law and jurisdiction
(1) For customers in Denmark
These terms and conditions are governed by Danish law. The designated court of jurisdiction is Aarhus, Denmark. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) is excluded.
(2) For customers outside Denmark
These terms and conditions are governed by Danish law and, where permitted, the designated court of jurisdiction is Aarhus, Denmark. This does not affect any mandatory consumer protection rights applicable in your country of residence.
§ 15 – Severability
Should any provision of these terms and conditions be found wholly or partly invalid, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The parties shall seek to replace any invalid provision with one that achieves as similar a legal and commercial effect as possible.
